Following his expulsion from the Fire Band Army, Karniel makes his way to the Salt Marshes, where he finds a new place to call home. Behind the scenes, the forces of an unseen enemy continue to hinder his ability to find peace. Caught in a series of political intrigue and jealousy, Karniel must now fight for his, and his newfound love's life, as well as the survival of the citizens of Dazmek as a whole.
