Evelyn Leigh, a life-long resident of Roanoke, Virginia, graduated from Radford College and Virginia Tech. She worked as a public mental health therapist for 25 years and currently teaches yoga classes locally, sometimes becoming inspired to write down little musings. Some poems have been published under variations of her full name, Evelyn Leigh Hicks Urquhart. Evelyn still lives in her native Roanoke, in the Grandin Village area, where she grew up and where she will always feel her roots.
